SOFTBALL NSW ANNOUNCES SINALLI SPORTS AS OFFICIAL APPAREL PARTNER

Softball New South Wales announced today a new partnership with Sinalli Sports to become the Official Apparel Partner of Softball NSW for the next five years. The partnership is one of the most significant commercial partnerships in Softball NSW history and will provide extensive benefits to the organisation and its members.

2021 UNDER 14 GIRLS REGIONAL TEAMS NAMED

Teams were chosen following the selection camp held on January 19-21. These teams will now commence training as part of the NSW Youth Pathways Program.

NSW OVER 35 WOMEN’S STATE SQUAD ANNOUNCED

The final selection camp will be on Sunday February 28th at Blacktown International Sportspark. This will be the final selection process for the NSW Over 35 Women’s team.

There are currently 2 camp dates scheduled for the 7th and 14th of March 2021 to be held at Blacktown International Sportspark. These will be the final selection events for the NSW Over 35 Men’s team. Following the camps, a final selection will be made.

Following the cancellation of the 2020 Under 18 State Championships, all athletes that were age eligible and submitted an Expression of Interest for Selection have therefore been invited to the camp.

VALE RANDAL MATTHEWS

Randal was involved at many levels within our sport over the years, dedicating extensive time and effort to the Softball community which included tenure on the Softball NSW Board as Treasurer in the late 1980’s. He was also heavily involved with the Auburn Softball Association and most recently as an umpire with the Softball NSW all abilities program.

RECOMMENCEMENT OF COMMUNITY COMPETITIONS & TRAINING

As of January 8, SNSW now endorses the recommencement of Softball related activity in Greater Sydney and Regional NSW (Unless quarantined by government advice). We also encourage all relative Affiliates and their members to continue to follow the current government advice.

Following the surge of COVID cases across Sydney in the past 24 hours and government advice to limit non-essential movement and remain on high alert, Softball NSW has had to regrettably cancel the 2020 Under 18 State Championships which was scheduled to commence this evening at Blacktown International Sportspark.
