Paige Hyslop - President
Paige joined the Softball NSW Board to give back to the sport and grow the sport so that others can enjoy it like she still does today. Professionally, she is a Project Manager for The NRMA, with her key skills being project management, governance, change management and stakeholder engagement. Paige has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Macquarie University.
This upcoming season will be Paige's 25th of softball, after having started playing Teeball with North Rocks Softball Club at the Auburn District Softball Association. Among her other laurels in sport, she has also represented NSW in the 2006 U16 Girls team.
Paige has also served as President of the Hornsby Softball District Association since 2013.

Craig Oberg-Vice President & Chair of Governance & Policy Sub Committee
Craig believes that the future of softball is all about the participant experience. Whether it’s a player, coach, scorer or umpire, he feels that if they have a great experience, they will fall over themselves to come back and do it again and again. Craig is an experienced people, process and technology manager focusing on technical support, infrastructure and operations, and enjoys managing people, driving processes and performance.
Craig has played, coached, umpired and been on various Softball Committees/Boards for over 40 years. He aspires to leverage technology and simplify the administration and overheads that Clubs and Associations face every day.

Doug Freeman - Director & Chair of the Finance, Risk & Audit Sub Committee
Doug joined the Softball NSW Board due to his concerns with declining player participation numbers and a desire to reverse that trend. He believes clubs and associations need more support with recruitment and retention strategies. He brings financial, commercial, strategic and stakeholder management expertise to the Board, through his various roles in the Tabcorp, George Weston Foods and Alexander and Alexander businesses. He is the Managing Director of Hunter Hamilton Consulting, providing commercial and governance advice to a wide range of business and sporting clients.
He has a Bachelor of Commerce and is a Chartered Accountant. Doug also became a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2019.
Doug has been involved with the Manly Warringah Softball; Association since his daughter started playing T-ball in 1997 and has been President since 2006. He was also the founding President of Forest Allambie Softball Club in 2004. He also coaches various teams in the club competition. He has been a Board member of Softball NSW since 2020.

Selwyn Williams - Director
Selwyn is respected coach, official, administrator and Board representative who has served on the Softball Australia Board (5 years) and Softball NSW Board (5 years). Outside of Softball, Selwyn is a Primary School principal and is passionate about securing the long-term future of Softball. He has a passion for ensuring Softball remains relevant in schools and a junior and senior level and works tirelessly with the Department of Education to advance Softball.
During Selwyn’s time in Softball, he has been involved with Softball Campbeltown, the George River Softball Association and is coach of the United State League team. He has managed all age groups across the Softball spectrum, including targeted groups at a NSW level and Academy level. and continues to volunteer when required.
Selwyn understand that participation must increase to ensure the longevity of Softball and is committed to working collaboratively with all stakeholders.

Sharon Cashen - Director
Sharon joined the Softball NSW board to give back to the sport that has given her family so much joy. Sharon has been involved at a club and association level over the course of the last 19 years when her son started playing as a 4-year-old.
Professionally, Sharon is a Head of Faculty at a renowned private school in the Hunter Valley and has a Bachelor of Arts, specializing in Languages and History and a Diploma in Education from The University of Newcastle.
Having a lifelong history is sports administration at club, association, and state level, including being a life member of Newcastle Football Referees and Adamstown Rosebud Junior Football Club, Sharon is passionate about being a voice for the regional areas of our sport and increasing participation by ensuring everyone has great experience at a club and community level.

Sue Fairhurst - Director
Sue brings a wealth of experience and dedication to Softball NSW having had a very successful playing career within the sport. Her Softball achievements include representing New South Wales and Australia in all age groups culminating with winning a bronze medal at the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
At a community level, Sue has been involved with Georges River Softball Association as a player and coach and is passionate about youth development and growth within the sport seeking new opportunities for all members.
Outside of Softball, Sue is an accomplished golfer with a distinguished career marked by 15 years of competitive play and notable achievements. Sue’s knowledge and experience across multiple sports at the highest level provides a unique perspective and is committed to holistic growth of Softball in NSW at all levels.
