Softball NSW wishes to advise that following consultation with the participating Affiliates, the 2021 23 & Under State Championships have been rescheduled to Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 February at Blacktown International Sportspark (BISP). We appreciate that the final decision was in consideration of all feedback received, and this rescheduled date was the preferred choice for the majority of participating teams / Affiliates.
Softball NSW would like to congratulate the following players and officials on their selection into the NSWCHS Red and Blue teams. Teams were chosen following the Secondary Softball – Grils Championships held from the 9th – 11th February 2021.
Unfortunately, the continued rain overnight and into this morning has rendered the diamonds at Blacktown International Sportspark (BISP) unplayable. Combined with the Women’s washouts last night, all scheduled fixtures for Saturday 13 February 2021 for the 23 & Under State Championships have been abandoned.
With the current weather and its predicted forecast for the Greater Sydney Region, Softball NSW wishes to advise that the potential recommencement of the 2021 23 & Under State Championships is still under review.
Given the continuing weather conditions across the Greater Sydney Region, and in consultation with several Affiliates, it is with great disappointment that Softball NSW postpones the 2021 23 & Under State Championships this weekend.

Softball New South Wales announced today a new partnership with Sinalli Sports to become the Official Apparel Partner of Softball NSW for the next five years. The partnership is one of the most significant commercial partnerships in Softball NSW history and will provide extensive benefits to the organisation and its members.

The final selection camp will be on Sunday February 28th at Blacktown International Sportspark. This will be the final selection process for the NSW Over 35 Women’s team.
There are currently 2 camp dates scheduled for the 7th and 14th of March 2021 to be held at Blacktown International Sportspark.
These will be the final selection events for the NSW Over 35 Men’s team. Following the camps, a final selection will be made.
At Softball NSW, we have created a flexible internship program that allows you to work with a tight-knit community, coming up with new ideas and ways to shape our sport for the future.
Following the cancellation of the 2020 Under 18 State Championships, all athletes that were age eligible and submitted an Expression of Interest for Selection have therefore been invited to the camp.
Randal was involved at many levels within our sport over the years, dedicating extensive time and effort to the Softball community which included tenure on the Softball NSW Board as Treasurer in the late 1980’s. He was also heavily involved with the Auburn Softball Association and most recently as an umpire with the Softball NSW all abilities program.
As per advice provided on January 5, Softball NSW will continue to monitor the current COVID Pandemic and its impact on our community and if any changes or rescheduling needs to occur across all levels within our sport.
