The Softball NSW Board is now providing advice to the community that the 2020-2021 Softball NSW Annual General Meeting and Softball NSW Awards have been rescheduled to Sunday 28th November 2021.
Softball NSW provides the following updates for the return of community sport, which will now supersede advice previously provided on Monday 18th October.
Softball NSW is very pleased to announce Cumberland Nepean Softball Association as the host of the 2021 Under 12 State Championships scheduled for December 18-19
Over the weekend, the NSW Government released the new Public Health (COVID-19 General) Amendment Order (No 2) 2021, which comes into effect as of Monday 18 October and coincides with NSW having passed the 80% target of full vaccination of the eligible adult population (16+).
Following extensive consultation with Associations and key stakeholders, Softball NSW wishes to provide our community with the rescheduled dates and administrative timelines for the remaining 2021 State Championships, including: Under 12 State Championships, Under 14 State Championships, Under 16 State
Championships, Open Men’s State Championship & Open Women’s State Championship.
Today the NSW Government announced community sport will be able to return following the achievement of the 80 percent double vaccination target. This announcement also included a number of further easing of restrictions for double-vaccinated citizens as well as additional easing of restrictions from December 1.
Softball NSW wishes to provide information surrounding the exciting opportunity for Affiliates to apply to host the 2022 Under 14 and Under 16 State Championships.
In alignment with the 2021-2024 Strategic Plan, Softball NSW are reintroducing the Softball NSW Awards to recognize those that have excelled across the sport. The Softball NSW Awards recognises those individuals, Clubs, Associations, and Teams who have achieved not only excellence but have also provided outstanding service to the sport of Softball in NSW each year.
With the current COVID-19 restrictions in Greater Sydney now extending to the regional areas of
NSW, and with no confirmed end to all lockdowns at this stage, Softball NSW wishes to unfortunately advise our Clubs, Associations, and the wider community of the cancellation of the 2021 Blue Blaze
Tournament in September.
