The 2021 Under 10 State Championships, hosted by Central Coast Softball Association, was an amazing, jam-packed weekend of Teeball action!

The atmosphere at the grounds was electric, and the weather was perfect for the weekend to showcase the best young teeballers from across the state. The girls and boys really outdid themselves with their team camaraderie and renditions of classic Softball chants and songs, driving their teams to a number of nail-biting finishes.

The coaches took to the diamond across the lunch break on Saturday, showcasing their Teeball skills to their teams in a game of laughter and fun. After some fantastic umpiring from the Manly Warringah and North Shore Girls’ teams alongside first base, the Girls Officials came out on top 12 runs to 8.

Both Grand Finals on the Sunday afternoon were set for a repeat of 2020, with Manly Warringah and Cumberland Nepean fighting it out in the Girls, and Campbelltown and Georges River going head-to-head in the Boys. But the results were reversed for 2021, and ultimately the two undefeated teams would get their hands on the trophy, with Manly Warringah securing a convincing win over Cumberland, and Campbelltown clinching the gold medal in the dying seconds of the game, sending the sideline fans into raptures.

Congratulations to all of the players and officials for a fantastic tournament, and a big thank you to the Central Coast Softball volunteers, as well as Central Coast Council, for running the event – from ground and diamond set up, to organising the canteen, and everything in between. We cannot wait to hold the event at the Central Coast Regional Sporting and Recreation Complex again in 2022!
