Published Tue 31 May 2022

Softball NSW is excited to announce Project 10,000 - a conference featuring an array of discussions by members of our community focused on participation numbers in the sport. Scheduled to be held at West HQ, Rooty Hill on June 18 and 19, the event encourages the registration and involvement of five people per state association. Aiming at growing participation to 10,000 members by 2027, the agenda of Project 10,000 will be-

  • Recruit new members
  • Retain existing members
  • Win back lost members

The conference will play host to keynote presentations by Nick Frayne, Softball Australia's National Participation Manager, as well as Stuart Clark, Softball NSW CEO.

Chief key topics of discussion at Project 10,000 will be-

Is your social media working?

  • Off diamond player retention strategies
  • How to grow slow pitch membership?
  • Rebuilding our Tee-ball numbers
  • Winning in Schools – what is working?
  • New volunteers are key to our future
  • Optimise your advertising spend
  • Come N Try day success stories
  • What are other sports doing?

While the conference aims to host up to 100 attendees, Softball NSW encourages everyone who have a positive can-do attitude and a passion for making a difference to register their interest in attending. We want to hear your success stories but also find solutions to our recruitment & retention challenges.
