Home Base Memorial Softball Game

Published Wed 17 Jan 2024

This Saturday the 20th of January the Home Base Memorial Softball Game in Orange will launch in tribute to Kristy Armstrong who tragically lost her life to domestic violence. The initiative was brought about through volunteers and parents of the Orange & District Softball Association in memory of Kristy who was a part of their softball community. The Home Base Memorial Softball Game will feature a 12-hour continuous game of softball in Kristy's honour with players who have represented both NSW and Australia participating. All proceeds from the event will be going to her children & the NAPCAN's initiative "Love Bites' respectful relationships program. This charity softball game will create more awareness of domestic and family violence in the community but also unite both families and communities through fun activities across the event creating a fantastic atmosphere and strong community spirit.

If you are in the area head on down to Wade Park in Orange this weekend and partake in this wonderful event.
