Following on from a fantastic weekend of softball action at the Under 16 Girls State Championship, Penrith City Softball Association is gearing up to host the 2023 Under 16 Boys State Championship this weekend. Held at Surveyors Creek Softball Fields Glenmore Park, the Under 16 Boys State Championship will highlight outstanding softball talent within this age category. The championship will feature eight teams, setting the stage for a championship weekend of action-packed softball. 

The following teams will feature in this year's Under 16 Boys State Championship.

Macarthur 

Newcastle

What Happened Last Year? 

Softball NSW and Blacktown International Sportspark played host to the 2022 Under 16 Boys State Championship. The championship featured eight teams from NSW and an invitational team from the ACT, with Softball Macarthur and Newcastle featuring in the Grand Final. Softball Macarthur took the honours defeating Newcastle 3-1 in an action-packed game of softball. 

Venue Information 

All players, officials and spectators are requested to park in the allocated carpark. Entry to the carpark is off Ballybunnion Terrace, with additional parking available along the surrounding streets. Gates will be open from 7:00 am in the morning across Saturday and Sunday under the current draw. 

The Penrith City Softball Association canteen will be open accepting both cash and card payments, with the BBQ also available. The coffee van will also be operational at the grounds, next to the canteen. 

PHOTOGRAPHY & LIVESTREAM 

Throughout the duration of the Under 16 Boys State Championship, Softball NSW staff and media volunteers will be on site capturing the event for Softball NSW purposes. In addition, team photos can be undertaken per request.

All games on Diamond 1 will be live-streamed across the duration of the tournament.
