Tropics Claim Men's State League Title; Dolphins Finish Runners Up

Published Mon 31 Oct 2022

Despite its schedule being marred by unforeseen weather on multiple occasions, the return of the Men's State League after three years was a much-awaited one. Held at Blacktown International Sportspark on September 11 & 18, as well as October 30, the event featured six teams from around the state.

Bettles, Dolphins, Thurabredz, Titans, Tropics and United featured in the three-day event which had its group games played on the first two days. Tropics were the first to advance to the Grand Final, beating Dolphins in the pre-final game on Sunday afternoon. They were eventually joined by the latter who edged past United to seal their Grand Final berth.

Held at 7:30 pm on Diamond 1, the Grand Final saw the Tropics extend their unbeaten streak in the league, claiming the title with a convincing 9-2 result.
